AREI 47: What Apartment Investing Can Really Look Like with Suzy and Michael

Looking back in the past year can be therapeutic. Funny, even. A little worrying. Perhaps inspiring. Possibly motivating. And it's even a little scary. This is why it’s healthy to reflect and assess how far we have come and what mistakes we could avoid in the future and the coming year.

In this episode, we share Suzy's experience once she got the opportunity to spend a few weeks in one of our properties and how it made an impact on us as active operators and our team and its residents.  Join us and Listen in!

Memorable Quotes:

"When I can create a better community for the residents, even if that's just cleaning gutters, because then the drainage system is completely different and there's no water buildup. That is what brings me joy. That is what makes it all worth it." -Suzy Sevier

"But for now it's just really special to us that we even have the time, the mental space, the physical space, to be able to go to our property and stay there for four weeks and make all these changes. Because even though it may seem like a lot at the time, we're all changing lives, whether we are active or passive, like we are making a difference in communities, whether we are active or passive." -Suzy Sevier

" It's not just active investors who are changing lives of others, cause without residents and without passive investors, we can't do any of this. We don't have these opportunities, that is why passive investing is also important because I personally can not take down all the deals in the world because I would not be able to give the attention that each one needs.-Suzy Sevier
