Reset. Read. React.
Reset is a term that you probably hear weekly, if not daily. Whether resetting your modem because you are constantly working from home now or resetting your smartphone because new software was pushed out before all the bugs were fixed. But have you ever considered internalizing it? Have you ever considered resetting your life? Have you ever paused, evaluated your life, and realized that your life was on the completely wrong path? That the goals you set one, two, or ten years ago are so far out of reach in the other direction?
It’s scary! I know. I’ve been there. I spent several years of my life sitting on the sidelines, not achieving my full potential.
Why? Because it’s so easy to continue to ignore those goals you set, to ignore the person you wanted to become because change is HARD.
Has anything that has given you the greatest amount of joy, the greatest sense of accomplishment, been easy? I doubt it! And if it was easy, I bet the euphoria of accomplishment was but a fleeting feeling.
So, I challenge you to pause. Right now. Take a look at where you are at now and think about where you want to be in the future. And if the path you are currently on doesn't align with where you want to be, then take action, take control of your life. Reset your life. Although it will be a challenge, I guarantee you that once you make the changes you need to make you’ll be the happiest and most fulfilled you’ve ever been.
Here are three simple steps that we took that helped us get back on track.
Reset. Pause and reflect on your goals. Physically write out your long term (10+ years), short term (<5 years), and immediate goals (within 12 months) out on a piece of paper or a note card. Now tape these in a high traffic area in your house. For us, we taped them to the fridge since we pass by this area over 30 times a day. Every time we pass the fridge, we are reminded of our goals.
Read. Pickup a great mindset book. Commit to reading at least 10 pages a day either when you wake up or before bed. In 30 days, that’s 300 pages! At this pace, you’ll be reading at least 12 books a year! Here are a few of our favorites that changed our life:
The Slight Edge - Jeff Olson
Think and Grow Rich - Napoleon Hill
The Miracle Morning - Hal Elrod
Once you have read those, pickup The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone to supercharge your goal setting!
React. Implement what you read to tackle the goals you set. Every morning we write down three things we are grateful for and three goals we have for the day (which are smaller parts of our larger goals). This ensures that we are on the right track every single day.
If we ever feel like we’re losing motivation, we always come back to the three R’s to re-visit our goals and re-align our actions.

Reset. Adventure on.
