#22 & 23 Italy & Vatican City

While Rome is a city that requires several days to truly appreciate, there are still plenty of reasons why someone might want to visit for just one day. Here are a few:

  1. Rich History: Rome is a city steeped in history, from the ancient Roman ruins to the Vatican City, the world's smallest independent state. We explored iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, and Trevi Fountain.

    • It is one of the most remarkable and important cultural and religious sites in the world. The Vatican City houses some of the world's most iconic art and architecture, including the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Vatican Museums. The creations that Michelangelo, Raphael, and Bernini created are one of a kind. It is also the center of the Roman Catholic Church, and it is home to the pope. It is small enough to be able to spend a few hours there or the entire day!

  2. Artistic Beauty: Rome is also a city of art, with many world-renowned museums and galleries. The Vatican Museums house one of the most important art collections in the world, including works by Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci. In addition, the city is filled with beautiful churches, such as St. Peter's Basilica and Santa Maria del Popolo, that feature stunning art and architecture.

  3. Food and Drink: Italian cuisine is famous worldwide, and Rome is no exception. We indulged in all the traditional vegan Roman dishes such as pizza, because what else would you eat there?

  4. Vibrant Atmosphere: Rome is a bustling city with a lively atmosphere that will captivate everyone. The streets are lined with cafes, shops, and street performers, and the nightlife is vibrant and exciting. Even if you only have one day in Rome, you're sure to feel the energy and vibrancy of the city.

While a one-day visit to Rome will undoubtedly be a whirlwind experience, it's still worth it to experience the city's rich history, beautiful art, delicious food, and vibrant atmosphere.
